As a member I am better able to participate in many more advertising campaigns that, on my own, I would not be able to afford such as the Holiday TV ads on FOX and KFOR, the rolling bill board ads with Lamar, and holiday ads with Slice, Opubco and the Gazette.  The various marketing presentations have left me with tons of ideas of how to spruce up my own branding – and are all free.  And I love that when I have an event at the store, Heather sees to it that it gets announced on the WAA site, twitter and face book.  These added touches have definitely helped my bottom line and I had a GREAT year.  The best, however, is getting to know everyone else on the street and to know that we are all working together to promote our local small business end of town.

MEMBERSHIP

DUES
We have set a dues structure that is affordable for everyone. Please refer to the Membership Dues Structure form for more information.

WHAT IS THE MONEY USED FOR?
The funds raised by our dues finance marketing and promotional campaigns for the area as a whole, including graphic design and production costs for promotional brochures, maps, area signage, ad campaigns, part-time staff and overhead expenses. Also, monies raised will help with our beautification efforts.  If you’ve noticed the decorative Western Avenue signage or the beautification site at I-44 and Western Avenue…that’s thanks to our membership support!

WHAT OTHER BENEFITS ARE THERE?
Because of our involvement with various other groups that promote not only Oklahoma City but the state as well, we are able to bring our merchants media opportunities at reduced rates. There IS power in numbers! Being that most the businesses along Western are smaller, family-operated businesses, we realize that advertising budgets are sometimes unrealistic.

Becoming a member of this association - you'll have access to various opportunities that you probably wouldn't have otherwise been able to afford. As a member, you'll have the opportunity to get to know other business owners in your area as well as an opportunity to showcase your business by hosting a meeting. You will receive the most current information on what's happening in OKC. You will also receive a great deal of publicity through the distribution of Association brochures and joint promotions we produce together to bring people to Western Avenue.
